Logitech Signature Comfort Keyboard (Plus Combo MK880) Review
It’s been years since I’ve used a keyboard that wasn’t built to be loud and clicky, so my first few minutes with the Logitech Signature Comfort Plus Combo MK880 keyboard and mouse were a learning experience. Having my wrists comfortably rest on a built-in padded wrist rest while my fingers soundlessly clicked away at keys was a welcome change from my mechanical keyboard obsession. Logitech is one of my most trusted peripheral brands; having used the same gaming headset and mouse for years, I knew the keyboard and mouse would be high quality but wasn’t ready for the comfort.
My biggest complaint about all of the other keyboards I own is how flat they are. They lie fully flat, which isn’t the best for all-day typing because of the ergonomics. But it’s not just that; to elevate them, I had to buy keyboard risers. The Logitech Signature Plus Combo MK880 solves both of those issues for me. The design itself is curved in a way that the keys are elevated even when lying completely flat. That, with the built-in wrist rest, allows my wrists to lie comfortably and reach the keys without needing a riser. The comfort is genuinely unmatched by any keyboard I have used, and I have gone through over 10 in the past 6 years. If I did need it to be a bit more raised, there are built-in risers in the bottom, so I didn’t need to grab anything extra. All I need to do is pop them out and cruise across the keys with brilliant ease.
Logitech is a brand I swear by, and the reason is my daily mouse, the MX Master 4, which replaced my 3. There is no better mouse on the market, but the mouse in the Logitech Signature Comfort Keyboard combo emulates a lot of what the MX Master does but at a much more affordable price. It’s a bit smaller than the MX, which isn’t superb for my near-bear-paw-like hands. But in the hands of someone with smaller hands, it would make a great fit. It is designed with ergonomics in mind for long-term comfort. It’s clear how much design time went into both of these items to make them optimized for comfort.
For the price of the Logitech Signature Comfort Keyboard, the keyboard and mouse exceed expectations by a mile. The comfort and ease of using the keyboard and mouse are a noticeable change from keyboards I use every day. There is no latency or connection issues from either during long days of use for everything from clicking around, writing, and doing all sorts of work on Excel and other programs. I would highly recommend the Logitech Signature Comfort Keyboard if you are in the market for a new keyboard.
