VaultCrashers: Door to Door, Night by Night

The debut episode of VaultCrashers covers Door to Door, Night by Night and much more!

Welcome to the first episode of VaultCrashers, a new show dedicated to kicking down the Vault door to help you find something you’ll fall in love with.

Our three hosts share one thing in common, a mission is to share their passion for Vault Comics in a way that is approachable and accessible to EVERYONE.

Vault Comics, founded in 2016 and based in Missoula, Montana, publish creator owned horror, fantasy, and sci-fi comics and graphic novels, plus multiple imprints and they do not plan on slowing down anytime soon.

In the first episode, the VaultCrashers team will explore the newly released comic Door to Door, Night by Night from Vault’s horror imprint, Nightfall. Written by Cullen Bunn, art by Sally Cantirino, colors by Dee Cunnifee with letters by Andworld Design, this story follows a misfit sales team traveling into West Virginia in the 1980s. What sort of monsters lurk behind the doors and what skeletons are in their closets?

Sally Cantirino joins for an interview, where she discusses monsters, Mothman’s juicy ass, and the importance of libraries.

The hosts discuss some of the recent news from Vault, including Gerard McMurray’s deal with BET+ to adapt Resonant, (written by David Andry, art by Skyler Patridge and Alejandro Aragon, colors by Jason Wordie, letters by Deron Bennett); the upcoming Year of the Axe (Barbaric fans rejoice! And somebody tell Nikki to stop drooling); Vault’s new imprint, Headshell – a line of graphic novels written in collaboration with a wide variety of artists, including Metallica; and the five series set to be released in Spring 2023!

Is this first episode an excellent demonstration of the group’s chaotic dynamics? Definitely. Should you turn it into a drinking game and take a drink every time somebody says “nipples?” Probably not. Are we excited to share this first episode with the world? Absolutely.
