The X-Men of the '90s must save their world! But can they do so when it means destroying another world in the process? Especially one filled with younger versions of themselves who still have hope for Xavier's dream?

Starting in November, more universe-shattering battles from Time Runs Out — the prelude to Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić's Secret Wars — are revealed across five epic one-shots! Each issue pits two Marvel universes against one another in dramatic conflicts only one can survive, featuring iconic alternate realities, classic eras, and, in one unexpected clash, two beloved animated adaptations.

Revealed last month, X-Men '92: Incursions #1 delivers a showdown that X-fans have imagined — and debated — for decades, as the iconic '90s animated X-Men face off against the mutant teen heroes of the beloved 2000s animated series X-Men: Evolution.

X-Men '92: Incursions #1 is written by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle, the acclaimed creative duo behind multiple X-Men: Evolution episodes, including the debut of X-23. The one-shot marks a reunion for the pair known for their groundbreaking X-Force run and other collaborations. Joining them is acclaimed artist Salva Espín, who recently drew the official prelude comic for X-Men '97.

Today, fans can check out new variant covers for the highly anticipated issue, including artwork by X-Men: Evolution character designer and director Steve E. Gordon and Marvel Stormbreaker artist Gurihiru.

"Chris and I wrote our very first script together on X-Men: Evolution. It was called 'X-23,' and it changed both of our lives. But we're comic fans first. This is our first story together in 15 years, and returning to the Evo kids a quarter century later to tell the biggest story of their lives, in the pages of Marvel Comics, is a dream and an honor. We owe four generations of die-hard X-Men animation fans a story worth the wait. With Salva Espín drawing it, we're going to stick the landing."

— Craig Kyle, writer, X-Men '92: Incursions

"It's been gratifying to see so much love for the X-Men: Evolution kids — that show was my first job in the industry and was a dream come true. To be able to return to it after all these years — and to work with Craig again — has been an absolute blast."

— Christopher Yost, writer, X-Men '92: Incursions
