Lego Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy Showrunners Chat and Build Lego

We chat and build Lego with the creators of the new Lego Star Wars show!

When Disney first showed Darth Jar Jar, I knew that this series was going to be unforgettable. Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, at its core, is an essential Star Wars story. It follows all the elements of what you’ve seen before, but with a lot more heartfelt moments and outright comedy. Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit are the show runners of the show and today they’re here to build Lego with us!

The show itself follows two young kids, a couple unlikely Nerf Herders, who end up resetting the universe. Nothing is like the Star Wars universe you have seen before because it has been rebuilt from the ground up brick by brick. Journey through this new galaxy accompanied by the one, the only, Jedi Bob, and chortle at the unforgettable gags that make this one of the best Star Wars programs in a long, long time.

Dan and Benji the show runners of Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, sat down with us to build Jedi Bob’s Starfighter. We got to chat about what it was like to create a Star Wars show and what it felt like for them as nerds getting to play in the Galaxy Far, Far Away. Benji gives more insight into Lego fans, building techniques and different Easter eggs in the show that reference long-standing things in the Lego community.

The two talk about their recent trip to the Lego factory in Denmark, where they got to see the sets of Lego Star Wars being built and see where Lego comes from. They both discuss the chances they took with the show and how they broke down the story initially.

We also get to discuss Servo, the best droid in the galaxy. Check out our video interview and see how quickly Benji smokes Dan at building Lego.
