All Elite Wrestling is set to ring in its third year of existence with the third annual Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Coming to you live on Sunday, May 29th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV, it’s show that’s stacked to the brim with big time matchups.
From the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament finals matches to a dream tag team match and the biggest AEW World Title match in recent memory, Double or Nothing promises to be yet another winner of an event. I’m joined by one of my RingCrashers Live co-hosts Justen Jess and RingCrashers contributor MK to offer our predictions for Sunday’s big show.

Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals, Mens and Womens: Samoa Joe vs. Adam Cole (Men’s); Dr. Britt Baker DMD vs. Winner of Ruby Soho/Kris Statlander
Marc Quill: Samoa Joe wins for the men and I think whoever wins between Ruby Soho and Kris Statlander defeats Dr. Britt.
Justen Jess: For the men’s side, I’m going with Adam Cole here! I think that either against Joe or Kyle, he’s lacking a big singles win in AEW. He’s getting that here. My women’s pick is Toni Storm (Written pre-semis, so uh, don’t let me down).

House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, Brody King) vs Death Triangle (PAC, Penta Oscuro, Rey Fenix)
Marc Quill: As much as I enjoy all six competitors. not sure if I’m keen on seeing another match between these two teams. Honestly hoping that they move on after this, but before that, I think the House of Black gets the win here.
Justen Jess: Gosh, I know that I’m going to be winning no matter what happens. Two of my favorite factions going up against each other. I’m going to go with the House of Black here. They’re a faction that can easily get pushed into the main event stage for a spooky summer.

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy)
Marc Quill: I think there’s gonna be zero interference or any shenanigans, and the Hardys & Young Bucks give us a hell of a tag team match. The Jackson brothers will be on the top of their game, but I think it’ll be the more experienced Hardys that get the W. Question is, will a loss for the Bucks cause a fracture within the Undisputed Elite? That remains to be seen…
Justen Jess: Hmmm, okay. Hear me out. We need to get this Adam Cole-Bucks breakup train back on the rails, right? The Hardys win after some interference from ReDRagon, intentional or not. I am waiting in anticipation to see what Jeff Hardy will do a swanton off of. I’m going with one of the comically large stacks of poker chips.
MK: My prediction is “match of the night”. Whoever actually wins, I win. I think this will be another example of Bucks vs FTR where it’s a good clean dream match.

Jericho Appreciation Society vs Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz, Jon Moxley, and Bryan Danielson, Anarchy in the Arena
Marc Quill: I think JAS gets the dirty win in this match and we get another rematch down the line in Blood and Guts. Look, I just want to hear Sir William Regal announce the legally-distinct WarGames match as only he could, okay?
Justen Jess: Can they coexist? I’m going with the odd couple here. I think that Eddie and the Blackpool Combat Club are so red-hot right now that anything but giving them a big win would be a mistake.
MK: No, I agree with this. I’m looking forward to seeing a good old-fashioned beatdown, but ultimately BCC, Kingston, and PNP come out on top.

MJF vs Wardlow
Marc Quill: They’ve teased it for so long that not giving the fans what they want in seeing MJF get splattered on the canvas with a Powerbomb Symphony would be monumentally disappointing. I think we see a total of about 15 powerbombs and then a referee stoppage to end things. That would be very satisfying.
Justen Jess: Wardlow wins, baby! We’ve been wanting to see MJF take a powerbomb for months, and I’m going to be feral when it finally happens.

Jade Cargill © vs Anna Jay, TBS Championship
Marc Quill: I get that this was foreshadowed way back when Tay Conti was feuding with Jade for the TBS Title, the fact that they only now made this match with no build whatsoever makes it hard to get into this match. That, of course, is part of a larger issue with the AEW women’s division, but that’s a story for another time. Jade Cargill retains.
Justen Jess: With almost zero build to this one, Jade.
MK: Yeah, much as I want Anna to take the belt, I think her taking it in a match with ZERO buildup hurts both her AND Jade. Jade retains.

Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) © vs Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee vs Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks, AEW World Tag Team Championship, Triple Threat Match
Marc Quill: There’s been teases of Christian Cage potentially turning against his protege Jungle Boy going on for months now, and I think we see that finally pay off soon. How do we get there? Simple: Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus get beat in this title match, and I think it’s Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs who steal the win here. From there, they can feud with Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee for the tag titles, while we finally see Christian snap on Jungle Boy for yet another failure.
Justen Jess: I think that Jurassic Express drops the belts here. The Team Taz and Strickland/Lee rivalry has been so dang good and one of them deserves to have that belt. I think it’ll be Swerve and Keith Lee here. Long may they reign.
MK: I think JE loses the belts here, but I don’t know who they lose them TO. I’m leaning towards Hobbs and Starks just since they’re slightly more established in the roster, but I’m not writing off Strickland and Lee either. Either option is great.

Thunder Rosa © vs Serena Deeb, AEW Women’s World Championship
Marc Quill: I’ll just be upfront here and say that this feud has not been built well, owing largely to the lack of screen time it’s gotten. That being said, both Serena and Rosa are good in the ring and we’ll see that shine on Sunday. Rosa wins this match and continues her reign, which hopefully will get better from here.
Justen Jess: Rosa wins. I just don’t see much of a story here in a belt change, and I’m sure that I’m going to enjoy the hell out of this one. Serena Deeb is not for me, but she puts on good matches. I hope both sides have fun!
MK: Give Rosa’s feuds more screentime, please. She’s so good on the mic. Oh, wait, this is a match prediction right? Rosa retains.

“Hangman” Adam Page (C) vs CM Punk, AEW World Heavyweight Championship
Marc Quill: While my gut instinct says that Hangman retains here to give him another signature win, my heart is hoping that CM Punk pulls out the win. This feud has been interesting with both guys showing a bit more of an attitude than one would expect with a face vs. face feud.
Hangman’s promo on the go-home Dynamite where he stated that he was out to “defend” AEW from Punk was a curious wrinkle in the story that could either set up a Punk heel turn or it’s Hangman applying more pressure to himself to rise to the occasion. Whatever happens at Double or Nothing, we’re in for a hell of a main event match.
Justen Jess: I think that Page is set to hold on to the title at least for a few more months. Punk is great, and I’m surprised how nasty this feud has gotten, but I don’t think there’s the right story here yet for Punk getting the belt.
MK: Hangman retains. Taking the belt off him this early is a mistake, for one; lowkey I don’t want Punk to be the one to take the belt off of him anyway, though I’ve been LOVING this feud.
